TIRED OF BEING QUARENTINED?
Are you struggling with a painting that just isn’t working, but you don’t know what to do?
Has the corona virus isolation dampened your inspiration, enthusiasm and urge to paint?
Do you miss the companionship of other artists and sharing ideas with them?
Because of the on-going Co-vid 19 situation we can’t have our monthly critique session at the church again quite yet. But we are going to try something new to see if we can fill the gap and bring some artistic interest and interpersonal contact back into our lives.
On Thursday, June 11th, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, Dwight Williams, Jane Shimon and I will set up an on-line Zoom meeting room where we can meet electronically and review our current painting projects. During the critique, Dwight will lead the discussion and I will handle setting up the images of paintings for everyone to see on their computer.
For this first meeting we will limit participation to the first 30 IWS members to register. You will need a computer (tablet, phone) with a webcam and a microphone to participate. To register, send a jpg image of your painting (try to keep it no larger than 1mb) to me at email@example.com. Early next week we will send all those who registered the link needed to connect to the meeting.
If you are interested in participating but are unfamiliar with Zoom, Jane Shimon will hold a Zoom training session next Tuesday, June 9th, at 11:00 am. Let me know if you would like to attend and I will publish the training link early next week also.
We know this isn’t as good as really meeting together, but during difficult times we do what we must. If this meeting is successful, we will see about expanding the concept in the future.
I look forward to hearing from you and seeing your work. It’s been a long drought!
