Annual Meeting Announcement

By Events
Fellow IWS members,

Last year, our Past President, Dave Dillon, arranged for an amazing Annual Meeting in Stanley, Idaho. To continue the inclusive efforts Dave started, the Board has asked our Eastern Region to host the Annual Meeting in Idaho Falls.

Our previous Rep in that region for many years, Linda Carlson, is working with the Board to organize an exciting and educational weekend.  Here are a few details:

DATE:  Friday, Sept. 9 – Saturday, Sept. 10

WHERE:  Idaho Falls Arts Council

Although some details are yet to be nailed down, you can expect Art Talks and demos from 3 of our exceptional artists in the Eastern region.  Tours of the Carr Gallery, the Eastern Region show, and the Art Museum of Eastern Idaho will be available.  Of course, our annual meeting, the banquet, and announcement of our Anything Goes On-line Exhibition winners will be part of our Friday activities.

Optional activities include a Saturday afternoon Plein Air paint out along the river, with a no-host dinner/critique; a tour of the amazing Japanese Gardens will also be offered.

More information will be available in the next week.  Mark this date on your calendar and plan to join your fellow artists for a fun-filled weekend.  (P.S.  You might want to plan a few extra days in this part of our state to visit places like Yellowstone, Jackson Hole, Teton National Park, Harriman State Park, Craters of the Moon, or the City of Rocks.)

Next week we will send out a complete schedule for the weekend’s activities, hotel accommodations,  RV park locations,  details of our featured Art Talks, and more.

Best regards,

Carol HasBrouck Browning
IWS President
