IWS ART SHOW – Riverside Hotel, April 1 – June 30, 2020.  The owners of The Riverside Hotel and Boise artist Julie Clemons, a non-IWS member, will jury 35 to 40 IWS water-media paintings to hang in the Riverside Hotel hallways. This show will highlight IWS artwork during WFWS-45 when and where the convention and guests will be staying. Submit up to two digital entries due by January 10, 2020. Gary McCall  has a solo art show January 2020 on the St Alphonsus Healing Art Wall. And as always exhibits at Art Zone 208, Boise at Cole and Ustick.

Susan Kluksdal and Jean Ah Fong –  (music from West Side Story playing)…Could it be…Yes it could. Something’s coming, something good! – Susan Kluksdal and Jean Ah Fong are displaying at the Coffee Studio on Chinden (between Locust Grove and Meridian Road) in January.  The reception is January 7 between 6 pm and 8 pm.  Hope to see you there!

Renee Galligher has received a meritorious award in the 2019 Richeson75 International Art Competition, Animals, Birds, & Wildlife Online 2020, for “Don’t Fence Me In”. This competition was all about animals, birds, and wildlife. The 75 finalists and merit award winners will be included in a full-color hard-cover exhibition book.

“Don’t Fence Me In” was selected for the M Graham and Ruth Clark Founder’s Award at the 2019 IWS Juried Exhibition and sold on the first stop of the traveling show.

Renee was also selected to be a Featured Guest Artist on Doodlewash, World Watercolor Group. The link to the article can be found by clicking here.

Nine IWS artists had works selected for the WFWS44 exhibition in San Diego. This was the largest number of IWS artists ever chosen for the annual, regional show and reflects the growing skill and talent of our family of artists. CONGRATULATIONS!

40th Idaho Watercolor Society Annual Juried Membership Exhibition

Juried by Iain Stewart, AWS, NWS.  Iain Stewart is a watercolor artist / illustrator and a signature member of both the American and National Watercolor Societies. His work has received numerous awards in international competition and he is a sought after juror and workshop instructor. He is also an architectural illustrator with an international clientele- a business he has run for the last 20 years. Iain maintains a studio in Opelika, Alabama.
