EXHIBITS
Lynn McConnell – Lynn is excited to be the St. Alphonsus Hospital Artist of the Month for August. The show will run through the entire month of August on display on the “Artist of the Month” art wall in their Boise Hospital Location. Plan to stop in anytime during the month of August.
Hugh Mossman – Hugh’s watercolor, Angling Reflections, has been accepted to the 2023 National Watercolor 103rd International Open Exhibition to open October 1st in San Pedro, CA. Thanks to jurors Thomas Schaller, Ruth Armitage and Jean Peterson.
Cherry Woodbury – Cherry will be one of the August featured artists at Idaho Art Gallery. The Idaho Art Gallery features paintings of curated selected multi medium guest artists. The art work will pull you in to show techniques and beauty that has been created.
Teresa Heinz – Teresa will have a booth at “Art in the Courtyard “ in McCall, Idaho, August 25-27. This is a juried show with a variety of media and live music sponsored by Gallery Fifty Five.
Jack Dykstra – Jack’s landscape painting, “The Outlet” was selected by juror Ian Stewart for the Montana Watercolor Society’s 41st National Watermedia Juried Exhibition. The show of 50 paintings will be at the Bigfork Art & Cultural Center, Bigfork, MT, October 6 – November 15, 2023. Jack is a signature member of MTWS, and member of IWS and PAPI.
Susan Kluksdal – Susan will be the featured artist at Eagle City Hall for the month of August. There will be framed paintings, and paintings mounted on cradled wood panels. Hope you can stop by and see the display!
Teresa Wade – Teresa was invited to participate in The Yellowstone Gateway Museum’s juried art exhibition and sale commemorating Yellowstone National Park’s 150th anniversary year. Her work “19 Degrees South” will be shown from July 1st – October 1, 2023 at The Yellowstone Gateway Museum 118 West Chinook, Livingston MT.
Beth Trott – Beth is part of a group exhibition “Elemental” opening in Idaho Falls this June which showcases the work of four artists, each approaching the theme from a different background, while working with very different mediums and styles. The exhibition hangs from June 1 – September 3, 2023 at the IFAC’s Willard Arts Center in downtown Idaho Falls. Mary Gardiner and Gary McCall each have watercolor paintings in the Water’s Edge Gallery, Riverside hotel, Boise, Sept-Oct.
Cherry Woodbury will be one of the featured artists showing at the Idaho Art Gallery for the month of August: 211 E Pine Ave Suite 108, Meridian, ID 83642, 11am – 6pm Wednesday through Saturday. A reception will be held Friday, August 18th from 4 – 8pm and Saturday, August 19th from 11am – 6pm. Come see a variety of work by local artists and enjoy some refreshment.
Shelly Johnson will be showing 12 watercolor paintings of “People and Places” at the Initial Point Gallery in the Meridian City Hall September 1 – 29. The opening reception for “People and Places” will be Tuesday, September 19 from 4:30 – 7 pm to correspond with Meridian Art Week. Shelley will also be showing her watercolor painting, “The Colors of Marsh Creek”, as part of the IWS Fall Juried Show. The show will be held at Finer Frames from August 31 to September 28. The opening reception will be Thursday, August 31 from 5 – 9 pm at Finer Frames.
Linda Aman has a solo show in Star Idaho City Hall going until the end of September. The Mad Dog Gallery in Challis Idaho is hosting paintings by Linda and the Gallery 12 group from September 15th to November 10th. Mad Dog Gallery is located at 632 E. Main St. Challis, ID. Linda also has her painting juried into the Color in Motion show at Finer Frames September 5th -28th in Eagle, Idaho
Dave Earnest will have two paintings in the IWS Fall juried show Color in Motion at Finer Frames in Eagle, August 31-September 28. Awards will be announced Sept 7th. Party on the 28th during Eagle city celebrations. Dave will also have three paintings displayed at the Western Idaho Fair August 18-27. Yee hah! www.daveearnestart.weebly.com
