Mary Gardiner’s painting Color Me Idaho – Near Riggins was selected by juror John McMahon for inclusion in the 2021 Art Source juried show opening July 1, Main St, Boise. Mary’s two paintings Seeds and Hunter are exhibited in the inaugural exhibit at the new International Gallery of Fine Art (IGFA) 1883 N Wildwood St #M, Boise Idaho 83713. Show runs through September 1.

Gary McCall’s painting Idaho Field was selected by juror John McMahon for the 2021 juried art exhibition at Art Source gallery, Main St, Boise.

Loretta Barra’s “Cherries” painting won a Merit Award at the Annual IWS show and will be one of twenty paintings in the traveling show this year. Her “Eagle Grapes” painting is now on the traffic box in front of the Eagle Fire Dept. on Linder near Floating Feather.

Renee Galligher was awarded Best of Show Award – Nampa Art Guild Spring Show – for her painting “In or Out” in Nampa Art Guild’s 2021 Spring Show. Her painting “Pinks and Sweets” received a bronze ribbon. The juror was Joyce Green.  Renee’s “Dreamer” was juried into the IWS Annual Membership Juried Exhibition at Boise State University, by juror Ted Nuttall.  Renee’s “Pinks and Sweets” was juried into Art Source Gallery’s Annual Juried Show by juror, John McMahon.   The show runs from June 28 – July 31, 2021 with the opening reception July 1. Art Source Gallery is located at 1015 Main St., Boise.

Shelly Johnson has several small landscapes (5×7), including the study for her entry in this year’s annual IWS show, hanging in the framing section of the Capitol Contemporary Gallery in downtown Boise. The gallery is at 451 South Capitol Boulevard.

Sue Johnston’s painting, Mirror Image and a Beer, was awarded First Place in the AWS associate Members 2021 Virtual Exhibition.  You can view the show online through August 6.

Jean Ah Fong and Susan Kluksdal  -For a fun escape from Boise, come to the Garden Valley Center for the Arts!  Crouch is a fun little town to visit and while at the GVCA in Crouch, you will have the opportunity to see watercolors by Jean Ah Fong and Susan Kluksdal. We are the featured artists in August.  The opening reception for our August show is Saturday, August 7, at 5:30.   If you happen to be there in July, the exhibit’s theme is “Art in the Mountains” and we will have “mountainly” pictures in that display also.

Karen Hickman has been juried into Art in the Courtyard in McCall in August 27-29, sponsored by Gallery 55.

Beth Trott’s painting “A Tranquil Nature”, was selected by Ted Nuttall for the Juror’s Choice Award at the 41st IWS Annual Juried Membership Exhibition. Her painting is one of the twenty award-winning IWS paintings to travel the state of Idaho through December 2021. The International Gallery of Fine Art opened it’s first show “Fearless” (June 18 – August 20, 2021), and Beth’s watercolor painting “Lock, Stock and Orange” received the 1st Place award in the Figures and Portraits category.  Beth’s award-winning painting “2020 A Self Portrait” it is hanging at the Gem Center for the Arts in the Treasure Valley Artists Alliance’s show, “Pieces of Me” exhibition on display until September 7, 2021.
